Strengthening Our Economy
Too often, more government is seen as the solution to our problems. In reality, the work ethic and creativity of individuals and businesses are what make our economy strong. I believe government should do all it can to create new good paying jobs and reject policies that slow job growth and the economy. To build a stronger and more prosperous Missouri, I support:
- Keeping taxes low for Missouri families and businesses;
- Reining in wasteful government spending; and
- Rolling back burdensome, job-killing regulations.
Fighting for Our Kids
I believe every child has a right to a quality K-12 education. I support strong funding for our schools and paying good teachers well. I also believe local control over education is critical. To that end, I will fight any attempts by the federal government to dictate to local schools how to educate our kids. Parents and local school boards, not Washington D.C. bureaucrats, should be empowered to make decisions concerning the education of Missouri’s children.
Reforming Government Ethics
Trust in government is at an all-time low. To create a more ethical culture in Jefferson City, I support:
- Term limits for all statewide elected officials; and
- Banning lobbyist gifts to elected officials.
I believe every life is sacred. It is the role of government to ensure the protection of human
Fighting Sanctuary Cities
I will fight to keep sanctuary cities out of our state. Missouri families deserve a government that keeps them safe and ensures that cities cooperate with other law enforcement agencies to keep illegal immigrants out of our state.
Standing Up For Law Enforcement
Protecting our communities from violence and crime is one of the central functions of government. Members of law enforcement and first responders put their lives on the line every day, and they deserve the support of their elected officials. I will always support law enforcement and first responders by ensuring they have the proper backing needed to do their jobs effectively.
Supporting Missouri’s Farmers
My great-great grandfather settled in mid-Missouri and purchased a farm along the banks of the Osage River during the last quarter of the 1800s. That farm remains in my family to this day. I understand the importance farming plays in Missouri’s economy and to our rural tradition as a state. I support measures to roll back existing and prevent future government regulations that unreasonably restrict the rights of Missouri’s farmers to do their important work.
